EPA’s proposed Sixth Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR 6) includes 30 contaminants across four analytical methods, with monitoring proposed for 2028 – 2030. To help laboratories understand what’s ahead, we’ve created a new UCMR 6 Resource Page that brings the key information together in one place.

As 𝗣𝗙𝗔𝗦 testing expands across drinking water, wastewater, soil, tissue, and other matrices, laboratories need to process increasing sample volumes while maintaining low backgrounds, consistent recoveries, and reliable turnaround times. Automating solid phase extraction can help labs meet these demands while reducing the hands-on work required for every batch.

Earlier this summer, we had the opportunity to visit the Orange County Water District (OCWD) and reconnect with Jacob and Yvonne. As one of PromoChrom's longstanding customers, OCWD currently uses five SPE-03 automated solid phase extraction systems to support PFAS analysis in drinking water.

During protein purification, not all target proteins bind to the column on the first pass. In some cases, valuable protein can remain in the flowthrough, leading to lower recovery and wasted sample.
