Inside DNREC Lab: Protecting Water Quality in a Historic Community

Our Technical Sales recently visited the City of Tucson Water in Arizona to support their automated SPE workflows for drinking water analysis. The laboratory currently operates two PromoChrom SPE-03 systems for PFAS analysis and is looking to scale its fleet from two to five systems, including three systems dedicated to PFAS and two for Dioxins

The SPE-03 systems have become reliable workhorses, improving efficiency and helping the lab meet its throughput goals. With EPA Method 1633 being added and interest in expanding into EPA 525, automation continues to play a central role in supporting their evolving analytical needs. They also highlighted the ease of system maintenance and the value of having dedicated, effective support from PromoChrom.

During the visit, we also introduced a new chapter for PromoChrom as a Velaris brand, bringing together established laboratory automation solutions. The team expressed interest in learning more about the Velaris portfolio to support their automation needs across multiple applications.

We’d like to thank the City of Tucson Water Laboratory for welcoming our visit. We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate on their automated SPE workflows and look forward to their continued success.
