We’re introducing Password Protection, a new feature designed to help laboratories better manage permissions and protect critical workflows on shared systems.
With passcode protection enabled, labs can:
• Manage permissions for who can edit, save, or run methods
• Prevent accidental method changes or deletions
• Reduce errors and rework in shared or controlled lab environments
The feature supports two permission levels:
• A 6-digit passcode for editing and saving methods
• A 4-digit passcode for running methods
Password Protection is easy to enable or disable directly from User Access Control settings and is now available on all Gen 4 systems and can be enabled upon request.
Watch the short demo to see how it works.
