Inside DNREC Lab: Protecting Water Quality in a Historic Community

Our Technical Sales, Evan Chu, recently visited the The University of British Columbia - Civil Engineering Environmental Laboratory, where he met with Brad Wishart, Technical Researcher at UBC, to review the laboratory’s use of the PromoChrom SPE-03 system for PFAS, 6PPD-Q, trace organic compound analysis, and local fisheries research.

The team shared that the SPE-03 system has helped save considerable time for students and laboratory staff by reducing manual extraction work and improving day-to-day efficiency. They also highlighted the responsive support provided by the PromoChrom team.

Brad mentioned that the SPE-03 system has been very well received by students and has become an important part of ongoing environmental research within the laboratory.

It’s always exciting to see automation making a meaningful impact in university research environments, and we appreciate the opportunity to work alongside UBC and local institutions advancing environmental analysis and laboratory innovation.
